popularisation of achievements of the domestic science, attraction of public attention to its problems and prospects of further development;
promotion of prestige of science in the Ukrainian society and wider implementation of scientific developments and innovations into practice;
revelation of talented popularizers of science of various professions that can speak about significant achievements and results of science and technology development in Ukraine in a simple and clear, interesting and correct manner.

Popular scientific articles on science and innovations, devoted to specific achievements of Ukrainian science of recent years are accepted. Articles should be written this year and could be already published or not. They could be written in one of the three languages: Ukrainian, Russian and English.
Articles should speak about interesting research, technologies, successful innovation projects of Ukrainian scientists or foreign scientists in co-operation with Ukrainian scientists, which have been performed or developed during the past few years.
Scientific photographs on science and innovations are accepted.
Photographs should be made this year and could be already published or not. Notes to photographs could be written in one of the three languages: Ukrainian, Russian and English.
Photographs should be non-trivial, pictorial, artistic and be made on a good technical level and should reflect both objects of science and processes of scientific research.
Ways of civilization in XXI century would be defined with rapid development of science and technologies. Is our society ready to accept both positive and negative consequences of new discoveries? What would their implementation bring to the mankind? Could it be that science and modern technologies become a kind of a wooden horse for the Earth? And maybe the mankind would stroll into its golden age and would settle in other planets and worlds of the Universe? How would a man react if he or she faces previously unknown Technologies or Nature Laws?
We invite all who wish to answer these and other questions in the artistic form through participating in Short science-fiction story competition "Galilei", the basis of which is formed with scientific idea, hypothesis, research, and discovery. Please, remember that the basic ideas of the science-fiction all over the world are positivism, rationalism and humanism.
The most interesting stories would be published in a collection of science-fiction stories "Galilei" undedr conditions stated in author's agreement, which would be concluded between the Competition organisers and authors of the stories accepted for publication.

Results of the competition are summed up by a jury of journalists, scientists and independent experts. Members of the jury will not know the names of the authors before the awarding procedure.
Author of the best work of all three competitions gets the prize-symbol of the winner.
